The Lord is in control

It's saturday, and I've just come from a 6-hour reading marathon. Saturday is special because it caps off an entire week of reviewing for the bar.

Today is extra special because of what transpired as I was about to go home. I bought coffee from Coffeebean as a sort of treat for myself. Powerplant mall was about to close so I didn't have time to go around. So, I just strolled around and went straight to the parking lot.

I was humming the drum parts of an Israel Houghton song as I approached the car. Lo and behold there it was, my rear tire, flat as flat could be.

So, I put my coffee on my car's roof, I opened the trunk, got the hydraulic jack, the tire wrench, sipped coffee, loosened the bolts, sipped coffee, raised the car, removed the tire, placed the spare, screwed the bolts, lowered the car, removed the jack, placed the flat tire the wrench the jack in the trunk, and proceeded to finish my coffee.

All in 5 minutes, in a semi-formal blazer, no sweat, after a long day's review session, and with a smile.

I sat in my car amazed. Amazed at how the Lord controlled my emotions. Amazed at how He took charge and left me effortlessly happy. Amazed at the thought of a living God, in control of the smallest things in my life.
